We understand and appreciate the fact that our clients and debtors engaged in an action may be concerned about the privacy afforded to their credit profile and for the related personal data which we may receive, as part of our professional services.

1. Credit and Personal Information Disclaimer

Our company does not lend or provide credit; we are a credit management firm specialising in debt recovery. As such we act on instruction for our clients and as specified under s22A of the Amended Privacy Act we only use the information for the purposes it was disclosed to our company to help undertake any debt recovery, legal action.

We do not disclose the information, except to the credit provider, its mercantile agency, or where required or authorised by law or by a court or tribunal order (s21G(3)© and s22E).

The type of information generally collected by ACM typically includes your name, address, telephone number, facsimile number and/or email address. This information is collected in order for ACM to perform the services that have been requested by our clients.
We do not disclose your personal information collected to any third party without firstly gaining your consent, or where it is required by law.

2. Use and Disclosure of Personal Information

Your email address is recorded only if you send an email message to us. We respect the confidentiality of the information you provide to us. As such, any personal information that we collect will only be used for the purpose for which it has been provided to us. Under no circumstances will your email address be added to a mailing list or used for any other purpose without your consent being obtained or where it is required by law.

All file data is held in a secure data centre with firewalls: all data is stored and served encrypted.

You can request us to provide you with access to the personal information we hold about you. If we are able to, we will provide you with access. A fee may apply to such access. If we deny your request for access, we will let you know why.
